Haiti
Projects (Continued) they were taken in by an aunt who has other children. They live with other relatives, all in one sparsely furnished hut. I was shocked when I saw the girls. Christlin (age 5) looks between 2 and 3 and Christiana (age 3) appears to be less than 1 year old. The doctor said that they are extremely malnourished, which is the reason for their underdevelopment. The doctor prescribed protein powders, vitamins, amino acids, for the girls. It will run close to $100 a month for them. We would ask your help on this. Hopefully, it would only be for a year or so, until their health is better. Nutrition

the Church of Christ in Peltan, Haiti. Another project: A group of 5 orphans who have been coming to us for help. From what they have told me, their parents were killed in the Dominican Republic and the landlord threw them out of their house. A neighbor took them in, but makes the oldest two, a 15 year old illiterate girl named Gelin, and a 7 year old boy named Woneldo, go out to beg for food. I am very concerned about the girl, because she is at the age where she is susceptible to unscrupulous men who would prostitute her for food. The Church of Christ here in Galman du Plaa already has land with small rooms on it for 2 of its indigent members. An estimated $1350 would construct a set of rooms suitable for the 5 kids. $45 per month will provide nutrition, oil, charcoal (for cooking), and schooling for one child. In Haiti, school is paid for by the parents, not taxpayers. In His Agape, Click HERE to help. . . |
