15,000 people in Uganda and Kenya have received glasses at SEE Ministries' clinics since 1999.

There is always great joy and praises to God for the blessing of improved sight. It is not unusual for people to express their happiness: At Namawanga, Kenya, after Sandi Piek adjusted a lady's new glasses, the grateful woman smiled and said," I don't have money to pay you, but God will pay you."

And then there was a man I was helping with his new glasses, who shouted so loudly that people all over the building turned to see what the fuss was about. "This is better than good!" he said.

At the end of our most recent series of clinics, our glasses inventory was almost completely exhausted. Shawn Tyler, SEE Director, asks that we purchase glasses to replace those we have used in Uganda and Kenya. The Mbale Mission Team has a group of interns scheduled to go to Mbale, and Shawn is asking them to carry the replacement glasses.
