Changing Lives Through Loans

Through the Christian Relief Fund, donors are making loans to help people in Kenya.  These loans are changing lives, not only of those receiving the loans, but of the community and church around them.

"Thanks go to the Almighty God who helps his children," said Barnaba in Losirwo, Kenya who received a loan in January to start a posho mill to grind grain into flour. Through this one loan to buy a mill, the young children in the community no longer have to carry grain on their heads for miles.

"The grinding mill is going to help our family and the community of Losirwo who have received the services near their homes.  They have been walking up to five kilometers in order to get the service but now they thank you very much because they will save time and energy.  The grinding mill enabled me to pay school tuition for our sons, too."

Like a pebble thrown in a pond, micro loans send a ripple through communities . . .
 
Although one family received this loan, the ripple effect continues to touch the lives of many people in this community and improve their quality of life.  The fees for 2 women were paid to attend a women's church conference and all the transportation was paid for 18 children to attend a Sunday school children's camp. Furthermore, funds were given were given to 2 orphan children.
