"It's the most horrific thing I've ever seen . . ."    'Worse than a war zone . . .' PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Death was everywhere in this devastated city of 2 million after a 7.0-magnitude earthquake Tuesday crushed thousands of structures — from schools and shacks to the National Palace and the local U.N. headquarters. Bodies of tiny children were piled next to schools. Corpses of women lay on the street with stunned expressions frozen on their faces as flies began to gather. Bodies of men were covered with plastic tarps or cotton sheets. Moreover, untold numbers are still trapped Aid workers reported widespread destruction and suffering.  "We have to get food and water" quickly, one relief worker stated, describing conditions that range from stifling heat to numerous aftershocks. "We're trying to stay alive." One child in the Christian Relief Fund sponsorship program has already died.Your help is needed now.

Roberta Edwards, a Christian Relief Fund worker already located in Haiti is supervising efforts to rush emergency supplies - initially, food and water, the most urgently needed items, to affected children and families in Port au Prince, Haiti.

Another team is enroute and should arrive on Thursday in Cap Haitian, Haiti. The group plans to take a truck loaded with rice, beans, and water into the capital city as soon as possible.

The devastation is widespread and both short-term and long-term help will be needed.  CRF can only accept donations of money because it is impossible to get other items into the country at this time.  100% of the donations will be used for aid to those who are suffering in this extemely poor country, already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Please donate now to help us meet the urgent needs of Haiti's earthquake survivors. And join us in prayer for hurting children and families in Haiti.
