CRF Countries

Thanks for all you have done in 2009.  CRF helped children and families in 30 countries:

Belarus
Child Sponsorship program provides food, clothing and Bible study to 15 poor children.

Belize
$4,329 sent for medical clinic for the poor.

China
CRF sent $500 for China Mission Trip.

El Salvador
Child Sponsorship helps 219 children and 3 university students in San Salvador and several rural areas.

Ethiopia
Child Sponsorship helps 10 children in the Makanisa School for the Deaf in Addis  Ababa.

Ghana
CRF sent $5,150  for a school in Accra.

Guatemala
Child Sponsorship helps 100 children Family Feeding provides food monthly for 6 needy families. 

Haiti
Child Sponsorship helps 50 children and $500 is sent each month to feed 250 children in Sovereign School in Cap Haitian.  Benjamin Children's Home provides 37 sponsored children with food, clothing, and shelter.  CRF sent $9,620 to feed 85 children daily at the Santo Nutrition Center in Port au Prince. 

Honduras
CRF has been working in Honduras since 1984. Child Sponsorship helps 16 children in the CRF Childrens' Home in Catacamas and 882 children living with their families in  Catacamas, Tegucigalpa, Choluteca, Nacaome, Danli, Limon de la  Cerca and Nueva Capital.  To supplement public school education, CRF provides trade classes such as handicrafts and electrical wiring. Family Feeding program provides 93 needy families and widows with basic food each month. Each family receives 50 pounds of rice, beans, powdered milk, spaghetti, oil, and some canned meat. CRF sent $6,180 for lunches for over 200 children in Catacamas, Danli, and Tegulcigalpa every Sunday.

India
CRF has taken care of children in India since 1974.  12 CRF Childrens' Homes in India provide full-time care for 274 children up to and including job training for those who continue in the program. In the CRF Good Samaritan Clinic in Ravalpally, Mrs. Buelah Wesley, RN, and an assistant nurse care for patients. Two days a week two doctors attend the clinic. In Kosgi Village near Tandur, another CRF clinic serves about 12,000 people in 23 small villages. CRF sent funds for 17 widows and 10 preachers.

Jamaica
Child Sponsorship provides uniforms, school supplies, and food for 10 children.

Kenya
CRF provided assistance to 420 children to attend the Rig Road Orphan Day School in Kisumu, where they receive lunch in addition to daily classes.  58 children are cared for in nearby Lakeside orphanage and 9 children in Kimilili. Child Sponsorship helps 167 children in Eldoret, 64 children in Mombassa, 185 children in Malindi, 10 children in Alara.  The Kitale Childrens' Home gives full-time care to 41 children and an additional 89 are sponsored in their own homes in Kitale. CRF sent $16,000 for food relief.  $15,070 sent for mosquito nets, fireextinguishers, scholarships, scouting projects and farming. An AIDS Testing and Counseling Center opened in May 2009 and CRF sent $45,600 to cover costs of supplies and staff.

Liberia
CRF Child Sponsosorship provides free education to 144 children at the Ford-Madden School in Monrovia in addition to sending $1100 /mo to feed all the children in the Ford-Madden School.  CRF provides full-time care along with school expenses to 23 children in an orphanage in Crozierville. CRF is helping 21 university students.

Lithuania
Child Sponsorship helps 13 children in poor families of Klaipeda and Vilnius.
Malawi
CRF sent $3,600 for Bible teacher's salary for the Ntonda Primary School. 

Mexico
Child Sponsorship helps 130 children in Piedras Negras and 22 in Reynosa.

Nicaragua
Child Sponsorship helps 401 children in 7 preschools in Leon, afterschool programs and public schools and 5 university students. In Managua, sponsored children include 193 in 4 preschools, and 84 in public school. CRF sent $5,000 to repair 5 houses in Leon and $4,000 for tools and small businesses.

Nigeria
CRF provided $1375 monthly to support the Betem Christian Community which cares for 42 children and 8 adults, providing food, school expenses, small salaries for farm workers with the goal of farm eventually becoming self-sufficient.  Child Sponsorship helps 55 children in the Children's Life Center in Nkwot

Romania
CRF sent $170,324 to provide food, powdered milk, medical supplies, shoes, clothing, Bibles and Christmas boxes for children in five hospitals (including the Children's Burn Unit which treats patients from all of Romania), and five orphanages in and near Bucharest.  Child Sponsorship helps 33 children who live with their families in Bucharest to have food, vitamins, and basic medical care.

Sudan
$23,071 sent for food, blankets, goats and seed.

Tanzania
CRF sent $5,533 to Dale and Elnora Dennis to purchase Bibles for Bible classes in public schools in Dar es Salaam.

Togo
Child Sponsorship helps 19 AIDS orphans. Sent $500 for food relief.

Uganda
Child Sponsorship helps 100 children in Kampala and 57 AIDS orphans in Mbale. $9,000 sent for MIT center in Mbale and $648 for goats. 

Ukraine
 Directed by Jay and Piera Young, Child Sponsorship helps 149 children in Kiev and Odessa. In Marupol, 10 teenagers from orphanages live in the Transitional Living Center directed by Andrew Kelly to learn skills for independent living.

United States
CRF Child Sponsorship provides school supplies, shoes, clothing and food to 77 children who live in extreme proverty on the Mexican border of Texas. CRF sent $40,000 to equip a Mobile Dental Unit.

Zambia
Child Sponsorship provides full-time care in a home for 50 children.

Zimbabwe
Child Sponsorship provides 40 children with school expense and daily meals. $1500 sent for food relief.

SEE Ministries
CRF sent $3,029 for glasses for the poor in African countries.
