Emmanuel was totally orphaned at a young age. He is the last-born in his family, and most of his older siblings left the area. Emmanuel is being raised by his teenage brother, who dropped out of school to look for odd jobs to provide for the four youngest children in this family. They frequently miss meals, so Emmanuel is suffering from malnutrition. Other big needs he has are decent clothing and school fees.
